This Trading Card Series Premiere Set was produced by SkyBox and released in 1993.

The first trading card set based on Star Trek: Deep Space Nine, it focused on the pilot episode "Emissary", and was released as a boxed set, comprising a 48-card base set, and two Spectra cards (cards with a foil background which reflect in numerous colors). The set also contains a certificate of limited edition, a survey card, and a promotional card for SkyBox's next DS9 set.
